Taibat Adepitan Okusaga (TAO) Foundation on Thursday donated newly built six blocks of toilet and a borehole to Idowa Comprehensive High School, Idowa, Ijebu Ode Local government Area of Ogun State.
The toilet and borehole will serve both staff and students of the school from JSS1 to SS3.
Breeze Reporters gathered that the NGO was founded in memory of Late Madam Taibat Adepitan Okusaga (aka Orente Ayoa Onikoooki) who was a cook in the school between 1982 and 1985.
Speaking with Journalist, the Coordinator of the Foundation, Ms. Busurat Ayodele Okusaga Adekoya, an alumnus of Idowa Comprehensive High School, said the donation is part of plan to give back to her alma mater and also immortalize her mother who was a cook in the school.
She disclosed that with her experience in Europe and Canada where she studied Human Service Professional program, she learnt that serving humanity is the best thing to do globally.
She said, ‘’I finished from this school in 1985; then, I went to Europe and Canada where I studied Human Service Professional Program.
‘’I learnt that serving humanity is the best thing to do all over the world, that is why I planned to take this NGO to a bigger level, Ms. Busurat said.
She noted that; ‘’The reason behind this particular donation is that when my mother passed away, I wasn’t at home, and since then I have been looking for ways to remember her, so with my studies in humanity, I told myself it is good for me to give back to my community where I hail from and do something spectacular.
She further disclosed that her mother was made huge contribution to her success and education, adding that she will always be remembered for her selflessness.
On His part, Mr. Victor Adekoya, a director in TAO Foundation noted he started the foundation due to late Madam Okusaga love and kindness to him and his family especially when he was away in Europe.
‘’She is outstanding figure that stood solely with my wife and her children, so we are happy for start this NGO in her name to help the less privileged in the society, he said.
