What MTN Did To Offices In Nigeria Over Xenophobic Attacks

One of the telecommunications giants operating in Nigeria, MTN, has announced the closure of all its shops.

This is observed to be in connection with the recent attacks on its offices across Nigeria as a result of the Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.

According to reports and footages, there has been several attacks on Nigerians in South Africa as well as mass destruction of properties and business belonging to the Nigerians which has resulted into reprisal.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government of Nigeria and its South Africa counterpart is yet to take a decision to address the issue and ease the tension.

However, the attacks by the South Africans has led to an attempt by some Nigerians to raze some South Africa-owned companies in Nigeria, including MTN, Dstv, and Shoprite.

BREEZEREPORTERS gathered that MTN sent message to its subscribers on Wednesday announcing closure of its shops and operations in Nigeria.

The message reads: ”Yello! Our shops are unavailable today. You can reach us on Twitter- @MTN180,, chat on MyMTN App. For Call Center dial 180.”
